MARLBORO, N.J. — Marlboro Township Police unveiled its first Military Appreciation banners on Wednesday, honoring two officers who served in the United States Marine Corps before joining the force.
The banners, now on display at the entrance of the Municipal Complex on Township Drive, recognize Police Chief Peter J. Pezzullo and Sergeant Timothy J. Snyder, both of whom served as sergeants in the Marines.

“These banners are proudly displayed at the entrance to our Municipal Complex,” the department said in a social media statement. “We thank both Officers for their service to our country and their continuing service to the Marlboro Township community.”
The tribute is part of a new initiative by the Marlboro Township Veterans & Volunteer Committee to recognize local military service members, past and present, with public banners.

Residents interested in sponsoring a banner for a loved one are encouraged to contact Judy Kushner with the committee by phone or email for more information.
