HAMILTON, N.J. — The annual Azalea Festival will bloom once again on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sayen Botanical Gardens, drawing residents and visitors to a vibrant display of spring colors and family activities.
The festival, held at 155 Hughes Drive, will feature more than 250,000 flowering bulbs, azaleas, dogwoods, and rhododendrons. Landscaped walking paths, fountains, bridges, and lakes are open for self-guided tours throughout the day. The event is free to the public, with a rain date scheduled for Sunday.
Guests can explore the Sayen House, shop at local craft and vendor booths, and enjoy food from over a dozen food trucks, including Aunt Martha’s Funnel Cake, Hoboken Cucina, The Fry Boss, and Poppa-Q-BBQ. Dessert and snack vendors such as KK Sweets and Poppin Don’s Kettle Korn will also be on-site.
Live musical performances are scheduled, with The Ambiance Duo playing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Meg Hanson Group from noon to 4 p.m., providing entertainment across most of the event’s hours.
“Mothers can receive free family portraits from 10 AM to 4 PM inside Sayen House,” according to organizers. Portraits are offered by Group Ventures Unlimited LLC and will be available while supplies last.
Family-friendly event with free admission and parking
Free parking is available for attendees at Nottingham Fire House, located at 200 Mercer Street. Shuttle or walking access from the parking area was not specified.
The Azalea Festival has become a spring tradition in Hamilton, attracting thousands of attendees to one of the region’s largest public gardens. The event emphasizes floral beauty and community-centered entertainment.
