MAGNOLIA, DE — A 63-year-old man from Magnolia is behind bars after being arrested for his fifth DUI offense, according to the Delaware State Police.

Edward Soja was taken into custody on the afternoon of May 10, 2025, after a trooper on patrol observed him driving a maroon Chevrolet Impala without a seatbelt near the intersection of Peachtree Run and Walnut Shade Road. During the stop, the trooper noticed the smell of alcohol on Soja’s breath.

Soja refused to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests at the scene and was arrested without incident. After further evaluation at Troop 3, a computer check revealed that Soja had four prior DUI convictions and a suspended or revoked driver’s license.
