JEANNETTE, PA — A 19-year-old man was arrested early Monday after police said he led officers on a high-speed pursuit in a stolen vehicle before crashing, injuring himself and two juveniles who were also in the car.

Joel Munoz-Bayas of Jeannette was taken into custody following the incident, which began around 2:30 a.m. when a Jeannette Police officer observed a red vehicle traveling at a high speed without headlights near the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Altman Road.

Police said the officer attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued without slowing, running two red lights on College Avenue before heading toward North Greengate Road. The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed. Authorities did not release the specific location of the crash.
