Newark woman has been missing since March as police continue search

NEWARK, N.J. — The Newark Police Division is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 53-year-old Robin J. Bacote, who was reported missing on April 4 and was last seen on March 28.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr., Bacote was last seen at approximately 12 p.m. near Baldwin Avenue and Clinton Avenue. She was reportedly using an electric scooter and carrying a mini-speaker at the time.

Investigators describe Bacote as African American, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored scarf, a green vest, gray pants, and sneakers.

Authorities said Bacote is believed to be in good mental and physical health. There are no current indications of foul play, but police are continuing their investigation and search efforts.

Detectives continue to follow leads and are working with local agencies and the community to locate Bacote.
