Teen dead in Philadelphia playground shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal double shooting Wednesday evening in the city’s Logan section that left one teenager dead and another wounded.

Officers from the 35th District responded at approximately 6:07 p.m. to reports of a person with a gun at 1700 Lindley Avenue. They found an 18-year-old male unresponsive on the Logan School playground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:32 p.m., police said. His identity has not been released pending family notification.

A second victim, a 16-year-old male, was also located at the scene with gunshot wounds to his hands and legs. He was taken to the same hospital and was listed in serious but stable condition.

Investigators believe the suspect, described as a Black male in his late 20s to early 30s with dreadlocks and a beard, fled the area westbound on Lindley Avenue from Broad Street toward Carlisle Street.

Suspect may go by the name “Feek”

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a gray design on the front, along with a large chain and medallion around his neck. Authorities said he may go by the nickname “Feek.”

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit released surveillance images of the man Thursday and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

No arrests have been made and no weapon has been recovered, police said.
