Ocean County commissioners to appoint residents to boards on Wednesday

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The Ocean County Board of Commissioners will vote Wednesday on a series of appointments and reappointments across several key advisory and governance boards, including tourism, education, and workforce development.

Dana Lancellotti of Medford is being appointed to the Ocean County Tourism Business Advisory Council. Her initial term will run through September 30, 2027.

Lynn Canfield of Beachwood is set to join the Ocean County College Board of Trustees, filling the unexpired term of Linda L. Novak. That appointment will last until December 19, 2026.

In a broader effort to support regional employment initiatives, the commissioners are also expected to appoint five individuals and reappoint four alternates to the Ocean County Workforce Development Board. New appointees include Patricia A. Slattery of Lakewood, Gary L. MacDonald Jr. and Meredith Sheehan of Toms River, Kevin M. Walsh of Long Beach Township, and Daniel Konczyk of Egg Harbor Township.

Workforce board to include new and returning members

Jeremy Dusza, Lauren Miele, and Michael Thompson are among those being reappointed as alternates, along with Jennifer Hagendoorn of Bayville. All appointments to the workforce board carry a three-year term ending June 1, 2028.

The appointments reflect the county’s ongoing efforts to maintain leadership and representation across tourism, education, and employment sectors.

Votes on these appointments will take place during Wednesday’s regular meeting of the board.
