BRANDYWINE, Md. — A man died Saturday evening after the ATV he was operating collided with a pickup truck and trailer at an intersection in Prince George’s County, according to police.
The crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. at Dyson Road and Missouri Avenue. Responding officers found both the ATV rider and his passenger suffering from critical injuries. The male rider was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
An adult female passenger on the ATV remains hospitalized in serious condition. The driver of the pickup truck and the vehicle’s passengers were not injured.
Investigators with the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit are working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash. A preliminary review indicates the ATV struck the side of the pickup truck at the intersection.
Police have not yet released the name of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin.
