SURPRISE, Ariz. — A 56-year-old man has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including second-degree murder, after Surprise Police located the body of his wife in a remote area off Route 93 in Mohave County.
Police began investigating on May 14 after 41-year-old Alison Gregory was reported missing. She had failed to pick up a family member at the airport, raising concerns. Alison and her husband, Brandon Gregory, were reportedly living together while going through a contentious divorce.
When officers arrived at the couple’s residence in Surprise, they observed signs of a possible struggle inside the home. Authorities launched a search for both individuals and their vehicles.
Alison’s car was eventually found between Wikieup and Nothing, Arizona. Brandon Gregory was inside the vehicle with Alison’s deceased body, police said. He was taken into custody without incident with help from the Wickenburg Police Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety, and Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
According to police, Brandon Gregory admitted to killing his wife after being read his Miranda rights.
Suspect faces multiple felony charges
Brandon Gregory was booked into the Maricopa County Intake, Transfer, and Release Jail. He faces the following charges:
- 13-1104A.1 – Second-degree murder
- 13-1103A.1 – Manslaughter
- 13-2809A.1 – Tampering with physical evidence
- 13-2926A – Concealment of a dead body
Police did not release further details regarding the cause of death or specific timeline of the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police say no additional suspects are being sought at this time.
