MILLVILLE, NJ — Three juveniles from Millville have been charged with murder and multiple other offenses following the fatal shooting of a juvenile victim on May 17, according to a statement released Wednesday by the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office.

The charges were filed on May 21 and May 22. Prosecutors allege that the suspects conspired to rob the victim and that the confrontation led to the teen being fatally shot while driving in the 900 block of Church Street. The victim then crashed the vehicle and was transported to Vineland Inspira Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:02 p.m.

A joint investigation by the Millville Police Department and the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office revealed that two of the juveniles encountered the victim prior to his death and returned to a residence where the third juvenile suspect was located. Surveillance footage reportedly showed the victim meeting with the suspects shortly before the incident.
