SEVERNA PARK, MD — A suspect involved in an attempted burglary in Severna Park was located and taken into custody Thursday evening following a public alert and community tip, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
Officers had been searching in the area of Jones Station Road near Manhattan Beach Road earlier in the day for a white male suspect believed to be between 35 and 45 years old, bald, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build and visible neck tattoos. He was last seen shirtless, wearing dark-colored shorts and a hat.

Police initially alerted the public via Facebook and urged anyone who spotted the man to contact 911 immediately. The post included a photo and full description of the individual, prompting community members to assist in the search.
The suspect was reportedly linked to an attempted burglary in the immediate area. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
Community tip brings swift resolution
Anne Arundel County Police credited the community for the arrest, stating in an update, “The suspect was located and taken into custody thanks to a tip from the community.”
