Bronx teen jumped, beaten, and robbed of his shoes in street attack by three men who fled in a gray sedan

BRONX, N.Y. — A 17-year-old male was assaulted and robbed by three unidentified men in the Bronx during the early morning hours of April 5, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m. in front of 253 East 153rd Street. According to the NYPD, the teen was approached by three individuals who arrived at the scene in a gray sedan.

The suspects exited the vehicle and began punching and kicking the teen in the head and body before forcibly taking his sneakers and destroying his cellphone. They then fled the scene in the same vehicle, heading southbound on Morris Avenue.

The victim sustained minor injuries during the attack but refused medical attention at the scene. No weapons were reported to have been used during the assault.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the individuals involved.

All three suspects are believed to be males between the ages of 20 and 25.

The first suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.

The second suspect is described as having a medium complexion, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a white hat, black sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers.

The third suspect, also with a medium complexion, is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
