Baltimore Cops Nab Duo in East Lafayette Shooting

BALTIMORE, Md. — Baltimore police announced the arrests of two men in connection with the April shooting of a 53-year-old man in the Eastern District.

Investigators charged Nicolas Keating, 36, on May 4 with attempted first-degree murder. Antoine Manley, 46, was arrested on June 25 and also charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The shooting, initially reported in the 100 block of East Lafayette Avenue around 9:51 a.m. on April 24, left the victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police later determined the victim may have been shot around 5 a.m. near Maryland Avenue and East 25th Street before making his way to Lafayette Avenue.

Both men are being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility.

Investigation still ongoing

The victim was transported to an area hospital following the shooting and has since recovered.

Detectives are continuing to review evidence and interview witnesses connected to the case.
