Child Fights for Life After Route 18 Crash in New Brunswick

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Chief Vincent Sabo announced a serious crash Sunday night is under investigation.

Police say around 10:15 p.m. on June 29, a Hyundai Santa Fe carrying four people struck a Chevy Equinox with five occupants at the intersection of Route 18 and Paulus Boulevard.

One Hyundai passenger and all four passengers of the Chevy, including a 5-year-old girl, were hospitalized. The child remains in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
