Two lucky New Yorkers pocket big cash prizes in lottery draw

Albany, NY — Two winning tickets worth more than $16,000 each hit the jackpot in Sunday night’s TAKE 5 drawing, the New York Lottery announced Monday.

One ticket, worth $16,356.50, was sold at FMS Discount Stop, located at 825 Route 110 in Melville, officials confirmed. The other top-prize ticket, valued at the same amount, was purchased from Paras Newsstand at 302 West 34th Street in Manhattan.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with players selecting from numbers one through 39.

Lottery officials reminded winners they have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.
