BEACHWOOD, NJ — Beachwood Police issued traffic and safety guidelines Saturday ahead of the town’s annual fireworks display, which is scheduled to begin at dusk.
Starting at 8 a.m., Bayside Avenue between Beacon and Harpoon will be closed to vehicle traffic. Mayo Park will also be off-limits to the public beginning at that time, police said.
Parking restrictions are also in effect throughout the day. Boat trailer parking and Community Center lots will close at 8 a.m., and no vehicles will be allowed in those areas. Temporary parking rules will apply east of Route 9 and Route 166, and Beachwood Beach’s parking lot will close to all vehicles after 3 p.m. A valid Beachwood parking permit remains required for access.
Police emphasized that alcohol and marijuana are prohibited at Beachwood Beach and all public areas during the event.
“Please follow posted signs,” officials stated in a release posted Saturday morning.
The celebration is expected to draw large crowds, with fireworks slated to begin at dusk.
