BRONX, N.Y. — An 18-year-old female prisoner died early Saturday after being found unconscious inside the 41st Precinct station house in Longwood, police said.
At approximately 12:40 a.m., officers at the precinct, located at 1035 Longwood Avenue, called for EMS after discovering the teen unresponsive. Multiple officers performed CPR while awaiting the arrival of emergency personnel.
EMS transported the woman to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
The NYPD’s Force Investigation Division is conducting a review of the incident.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
