68-year-old man assaulted during dispute in Brooklyn, Suspect at Large

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 68-year-old man was punched in the face multiple times during a street dispute last month in East New York, police said.

The assault occurred around 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, in front of 2830 Pitkin Avenue. According to police, the victim was engaged in a verbal argument with an unidentified man when the situation escalated.

The suspect punched the victim several times, leaving him with a facial laceration. EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

The assailant fled the area on foot, heading westbound on Pitkin Avenue, authorities said.

Police describe the suspect as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue shorts, and black sneakers.

No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
