Bullet-riddled cars discovered in Wilkes-Barre street shooting

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Police are investigating after multiple vehicles were hit by gunfire overnight on North Hancock Street, authorities said Friday.

Officers responded to the scene around 12:13 p.m. on July 4 following a report that a vehicle had been struck. A 29-year-old woman told officers her windshield had been hit by a bullet sometime during the night.

During the investigation, officers discovered three additional vehicles in the area had also been damaged by gunfire. Several shell casings were recovered at the scene.

No injuries were reported, and police have not identified any suspects.

The investigation remains active.
