GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Anne Arundel County police are investigating a series of incidents reported Tuesday and Wednesday, including two robberies in Glen Burnie, a shooting on Route 100, and the seizure of narcotics from a home in Annapolis.
At approximately 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to Bertram Drive and Overhill Road for a strong-arm robbery. An adult male victim told police he was assaulted and robbed by four masked males who stole his clothing and cellphone. The suspects fled before officers arrived. No arrests have been made.
About 45 minutes later, at 2:45 a.m., police responded to a robbery at the Royal Farms at 7908 Ritchie Highway. Two suspects reportedly jumped the counter, threatened a store employee with a knife, and took merchandise before fleeing on foot. Officers tracked the suspects with the help of a K-9 unit and arrested them in the 7900 block of Ritchie Highway.
The suspects were identified as Donte Matthew Code, 22, of Gwynn Oak, and Gregory Martin Gervais, 42, of Rosedale.
In a separate incident Tuesday night at 11:10 p.m., a man reported a shooting while driving on Route 100 near Oakwood Road. The victim told police a black SUV pulled up beside his vehicle, and the driver pointed a silver handgun and fired once. No one was injured, and the SUV fled onto Oakwood Road.
Meanwhile, in Annapolis, Eastern District detectives executed a search warrant Tuesday at a residence on Lodge Pole Court following a narcotics investigation. Police said they seized 17 grams of suspected cocaine, 5 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 19 vials of suspected anabolic steroids totaling 790 grams, 11 grams of an unknown white powder, a digital scale, and nearly $40,000 in cash.
Robert Lee Deaton III, 46, of Annapolis, was arrested at the scene and charged in connection with the drug seizure.
