60-year-old man’s death ruled homicide after body found in residence

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 60-year-old man was found dead inside an East Baltimore home on Saturday afternoon, and his death has now been classified as a homicide following an autopsy, police confirmed Sunday.

Eastern District patrol officers were called around 1 p.m. on July 12 to the 2800 block of Chesterfield Avenue for a check the well-being call. Upon arrival, officers located the man unresponsive inside the residence.

Medics arrived shortly after and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further examination.

On Sunday, the Medical Examiner determined the man’s death was the result of trauma to the body and ruled it a homicide.
