Gunman opens fire during Bronx street dispute, injures two men, police say

Two men were shot early Saturday morning during a street dispute in the Bronx, and police are searching for the gunman who fled the scene.

The incident occurred around 3:03 a.m. in front of 1612 Westchester Avenue, according to the NYPD. A group of individuals was involved in a verbal altercation when an unidentified male pulled out a firearm and discharged it multiple times.

A 20-year-old man was struck in the shoulder and a 25-year-old man was shot in the stomach. The 20-year-old was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi by private means, while the 25-year-old was taken by EMS. Both victims were reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion and dreadlocks, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and gray shorts.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
