SEVERN, Md. — Two 15-year-old boys were arrested and charged following a robbery in Severn on Monday night that involved an implied weapon, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
Officers responded to a call around 8:00 p.m. for a reported robbery of a citizen in the 8400 block of Carinoso Way. Investigators said the victim had arranged to meet with one of the suspects—an acquaintance—to purchase clothing. During the meeting, a second suspect approached and implied he had a handgun before demanding cash and personal property.
Both suspects fled the scene on foot. Responding officers saw one of the teens crossing Reese Road and gave chase. With the help of K-9 and helicopter units, the suspect was caught after a short foot pursuit. The second suspect was identified and located soon after.
No weapon was shown or recovered during the incident.
Both suspects, identified only as 15-year-old males from Severn, were taken into custody and charged.
