WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. — The West Long Branch Police Department is investigating several incidents involving juveniles who reportedly rang doorbells, fled the scene, and in some cases, shouted inappropriate or bias-related comments.
The department’s Detective Bureau is handling the investigation and has not released specific details about the number of incidents or exact locations involved. Authorities described the behavior as “deeply concerning.”
“This kind of behavior is not only hurtful and disruptive but deeply concerning,” the department stated in a Facebook post.
Police urged parents and guardians to speak with their children about the impact of such actions, especially when hateful language is involved, which can cause fear and distress to community members.
The department is asking for the public’s cooperation in maintaining respect and safety for all residents.
