WAYNE TOWNSHIP, OHIO — A Clermont County man has been indicted following a July 11 road rage episode that escalated into a home invasion and assault, according to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office.

Seth Schlueter, 30, of Wayne Township, was indicted on multiple charges including aggravated burglary, burglary, assault, aggravated menacing, two counts of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, and three counts of endangering children. The indictment follows a confrontation that began on State Route 727 near Stonelick Park Dam and ended at a private residence in the 2700 block of Lair Road.

Deputies say the incident began when Schlueter allegedly stopped his vehicle in the roadway, forcing a female driver to honk and drive around him. He then followed her to her home, where he reportedly confronted the homeowner and later entered the residence without permission.

According to witness accounts, Schlueter removed his own children from his vehicle before forcing his way into the home, causing damage inside. When the homeowners returned from the rear of the property, they found him inside. Authorities say Schlueter struck the male homeowner in the face before fleeing with his children.

The male victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The children were later released to family members after involvement from Clermont County Children’s Protective Services.

Schlueter was initially charged with burglary, assault, and three counts of endangering children. Following the grand jury indictment, he now faces additional charges and is being held without bond in the Clermont County Jail. He is scheduled to appear before Clermont County Common Pleas Judge Nagel on Wednesday, July 16, at 10:00 a.m.
