TRENTON, NJ — A lucky lottery player hit it big in Essex County on Sunday, scoring $289,743 by matching all nine numbers on a Quick Draw progressive jackpot ticket.

The winning ticket, worth 30% of the rolling jackpot, was purchased at cedar grove wine cellar, located at 402 Pompton Avenue in the township of Cedar Grove. The jackpot had surpassed $678,000 at the time of the draw.

Under the game’s rules, players win a percentage of the jackpot based on the amount wagered per draw. A $3 wager earned this ticket holder nearly $290,000.

Quick Draw tickets include a set of nine randomly generated “Your Jackpot Numbers.” If all nine match the drawn numbers in any eligible game, the ticket wins a portion of the progressive jackpot.
