NEW YORK, NY – A 51-year-old Queens man was stabbed multiple times in a brutal midday attack on a Harlem street Friday, collapsing outside an apartment building before being rushed to the hospital where he later died.
The victim, identified as Raymond Page of 110th Street in Queens, was found with multiple stab wounds near 306 West 128th Street around 1:22 p.m.
Emergency responders transported Page to Harlem Hospital in critical condition, but he could not be saved.
There have been no arrests as investigators continue to search for the attacker.
Police said the stabbing occurred in plain view on the sidewalk in front of the West Harlem location, within the 32nd Precinct. Witnesses reported a chaotic scene as bystanders called 911 and tried to help Page until EMS arrived. Authorities have not disclosed any potential motive or whether Page knew his attacker.
Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from the area and canvassing for witnesses as the investigation into the deadly assault continues. No weapon has been recovered as of Saturday morning, and police have not named any suspects.
