Washington, DC – A man was hospitalized early Friday after being stabbed during a robbery in Northwest, according to police.
The incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. on August 15 in the 1700 block of Columbia Road. Police said the encounter began when the victim asked the suspect to buy him a beer. As the victim took out cash, the suspect grabbed the money and ran. The victim chased him, leading to a physical altercation.
During the fight, the suspect produced two knives and stabbed the victim in the stomach and upper thigh before fleeing. The suspect, dressed entirely in black, was last seen running along Columbia Road.
The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.
