Philadelphia, PA – A 17-year-old male walked into St. Christopher’s Hospital early Sunday morning with gunshot wounds to his arm and leg after being ambushed near 22nd and Diamond Streets by three men in a red sedan.
The shooting was reported around 1:05 a.m., when officers from the 25th District were called to the hospital to investigate a walk-in gunshot victim. The teen told police he was in the North Philadelphia neighborhood when three unidentified males pulled up in a red vehicle and opened fire.
The victim was struck in the left arm and left leg. He remains in stable condition following treatment.
Officers searched the area described by the victim, but were unable to locate any suspects, shell casings, or the red sedan involved. No motive has been released, and the identity of the shooters remains unknown.
The case has been turned over to the Shooting Investigation Group, and no arrests have been made
