WILKES-BARRE, PA – A 33-year-old man awoke Saturday to find his vehicle riddled with bullet holes outside a residence on North River Street, prompting a police investigation into an overnight shooting.

Officers were dispatched just after noon on Saturday following a report of a vehicle damaged by gunfire. When they arrived, they found that the victim’s car had been struck multiple times, including a shattered rear window and damage to the driver’s side door.

The man, who resides in Wilkes-Barre, told police the shooting likely occurred sometime overnight while the vehicle was parked outside. No injuries were reported, and the man was not inside the car at the time of the incident.
