Woman caught on video stealing medical package from Newark porch
NEWARK, NJ – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman caught on surveillance footage stealing a package containing a diabetes medical device from a front porch in Newark on Thursday afternoon.
The theft occurred at approximately 4:52 p.m. on August 14 in the 100 block of N. 11th Street. According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., the suspect was seen walking directly onto the homeowner’s porch and removing a brown box that had been delivered earlier in the day.
The stolen package reportedly contained a medical device used to manage diabetes.
The suspect was wearing a burgundy sweater, pink pants, white and purple sneakers, and a black head covering at the time of the theft. Her image was captured clearly by a security camera, but police have not yet identified her.
