BRONX, NY — Sunday — A 19-year-old man was ambushed and assaulted by two men after exiting a northbound 4 train at the Burnside Avenue station, with the attackers punching him and fleeing with his cellphone in a swift subway platform robbery.
The incident occurred around 6:05 p.m. on Sunday. As the teen made his way off the train, he was suddenly approached by two unknown males who began hitting him repeatedly in the body. During the struggle, his phone dropped to the ground and was snatched by one of the suspects before both assailants fled the station on foot toward an unknown direction.

The victim sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene, according to police.
Authorities released descriptions of the suspects. The first male was last seen wearing a white tank top, gray shorts, and white and black sneakers. The second was also wearing a white tank top, paired with black shorts and white and blue sneakers.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
