5 year old girl critically injured after being struck by tow truck in Baltimore

Tow truck crash leaves Baltimore child in critical condition

BALTIMORE, MD – A young child is in critical condition after being hit by a tow truck Monday evening in East Baltimore.

At about 7:50 p.m. on August 18, officers responded to the 1800 block of Aisquith Street for reports of a pedestrian crash. Police said a 5-year-old girl stepped into the roadway and was struck by a tow truck.

The child was rushed to an area hospital with multiple injuries and is listed in critical condition.

The driver of the tow truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Baltimore Police Crash Team detectives are handling the case.
