Wicomico County man boosts retirement with $50K MONOPOLY scratch-off win

Salisbury, MD – A Parsonsburg man turned a stop for cash at a Salisbury 7-Eleven into a $50,000 Maryland Lottery prize, adding a major boost to his retirement plans.

On August 17, while traveling with his wife to the Farmer’s Market in Berlin, he purchased a $20 MONOPOLY™ X100 scratch-off ticket from a vending machine at the 7-Eleven on Beaver Run Drive. After scanning the ticket, he discovered it carried a $50,000 prize.

He claimed the winnings on August 19 at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. The prize will go directly toward his retirement savings.

The MONOPOLY™ X100 game, introduced in January, is part of a Maryland Lottery family of MONOPOLY-themed scratch-offs. Several top prizes are still available in the game.
