Jamaica Plain investigation leads to major drug trafficking arrests

BOSTON, MA — A drug investigation in Jamaica Plain led to the arrest of three suspects after officers uncovered a loaded revolver and trafficking amounts of narcotics during the execution of search warrants on Thursday afternoon.

Police said that at around 12:55 p.m. on August 21, Drug Control Units from Districts D-6, D-14, and E-13 searched a residence on Stedman Street, where they recovered an RG-14 .22 caliber revolver loaded with six rounds, an additional 16 rounds of ammunition, and a large quantity of drugs.

Among the seized narcotics were 93 grams of crack cocaine, 69 grams of fentanyl, 49 grams of cocaine, and 299 grams of marijuana, along with a digital scale and packaging materials.

The suspects — Vincent Weaks, 40, Clay Porter, 69, and Virginia Rowell, 58, all of Jamaica Plain — were arrested and charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking and firearm-related offenses. They are scheduled to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.
