WASHINGTON, DC – A violent Thursday night in the District left residents rattled as armed robberies, a shooting, and a stabbing were reported across multiple neighborhoods, with suspects still at large and investigations ongoing.
In downtown DC, three masked suspects carried out a robbery near the 1200 block of Connecticut Avenue NW before fleeing in a red sedan. All three were described as Hispanic males dressed in black with face coverings.
Hours earlier, a shooting broke out in the 3000 block of Chain Bridge Road NW. Witnesses reported seeing three juveniles flee the scene in a gray sedan. There were no immediate updates on injuries or arrests.
The violence continued in the Unit block of M Street NE, where a man in a black hoodie robbed a victim and made his escape on a Lime bike. The suspect remains unidentified.
In the 6000 block of 13th Place NW, a stabbing left one person injured. Police are searching for three Black male suspects who fled westbound, including one with visible hand tattoos and possibly wearing glasses.
Over in Southeast DC, another robbery unfolded near the 200 block of 19th Street SE. Three armed suspects were last seen heading toward the Stadium Armory Metro Station, with two reportedly carrying handguns.
Additional violence included an armed robbery in the unit block of P Street NW involving a suspect in his 30s dressed entirely in black and carrying a 9mm handgun.
Police also investigated a robbery in the 2800 block of Alabama Avenue SE involving two armed suspects who escaped on foot.
All incidents remain under active investigation. No arrests had been announced as of Friday morning.
