Teen fatally shot on Park Heights Avenue as gunfire erupts in North Baltimore
BALTIMORE, MD — An 18-year-old male is dead after being gunned down late Tuesday afternoon on Park Heights Avenue, marking yet another fatal shooting in Baltimore’s Northern District.
The gunfire broke out around 5:13 p.m. near the 5100 block of Park Heights Avenue, where officers already in the area on patrol responded immediately after hearing shots ring out. Upon arrival, they found the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound and called for medics.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, but despite efforts by medical staff, he later succumbed to his wounds.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. No suspects or motives have been publicly disclosed, and the victim’s identity has not yet been released.
