WILDWOODS, NJ – The excitement doesn’t stop with the “Thunder Over the Waves” Airshow—Wildwoods is keeping the fun flying high with a packed lineup of events from September 5 through 8, turning the beachside town into a nonstop celebration of music, food, fitness, and furry friends.
Following the airshow’s high-flying action on Saturday, visitors can kick off each morning with Yoga on the Beach, happening daily at 9 a.m. behind the Wildwoods Convention Center. The $8 Hatha yoga class includes Qi Gong and is open to all levels.
Anglers can cast a line in the 56th Annual North Wildwood Surf Fishing Competition, running Friday through Sunday, while auto enthusiasts rev their engines for the Roots Classic 4 – Volkswagen Car Show, with displays and meetups throughout the weekend.
Families looking for something unique won’t want to miss New Year’s in North Wildwood, where the iconic Mummers Parade struts down Olde New Jersey Avenue on Friday and Saturday. Over a dozen string bands from the famed Philadelphia parade will perform, led by emcee Bob Kelly of FOX 29.
Saturday, September 6, brings even more excitement with the Wildwoods Food and Music Festival at Byrne Plaza from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring live bands, kids’ games, vendors, and a feast of local favorites. That evening, the Wildwood Crest Summer Music Series continues with a live performance by the Dirty Dance Band at 7 p.m. at Centennial Park.

Dog lovers take over Morey’s Piers on Sunday for the PigDog Puppa Palooza, where pups can splash and play in special pool sessions at Raging Waters Water Park. Passes are available for both the beach walk and pool party or pool party only, with proceeds benefiting Beacon Animal Rescue.
Capping off the weekend is the 13th Annual Greg DiAntonio Memorial Reggae Fest on Sunday afternoon at Urie’s Waterfront Restaurant, raising funds for substance abuse recovery and Wildwood Catholic Academy. The $70 ticket includes a seafood buffet, drinks, auctions, and live reggae performances.
