Shooting in Northwest DC sends man to hospital as suspects flee
WASHINGTON, DC — A man was taken to the hospital after an overnight shooting in Northwest D.C., where three suspects fled in a gray car before police arrived early Friday.
The Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded shortly after 3 a.m. on August 22 to the 3000 block of Chain Bridge Road NW. First responders found a man injured at the scene. Hospital staff later determined he had not been shot but was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
Investigators said three suspects left the area in a gray vehicle before officers got there. A lookout has been issued as the investigation continues.
