Elkridge, MD – A confrontation outside a Green Valley Marketplace turned violent Thursday afternoon when a security guard opened fire on a man during a physical altercation, Howard County police confirmed.
The incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. in the 7200 block of Montgomery Road. Preliminary findings indicate the conflict began when one of the security guards became involved in a struggle with an adult male, resulting in the guard sustaining a head injury.
