Thunder Over the Waves airshow set to light up Wildwoods skies with jet teams and parachute jumps

WILDWOODS, NJ – The skies above the Jersey Shore will roar with jet engines and aerobatic stunts as the “Thunder Over the Waves” Airshow soars into Wildwoods on September 5-6, offering a packed weekend of aerial thrills and family-friendly events.

This year’s spectacle, produced by David Schultz Airshows, features a high-octane lineup of military flyovers, precision parachute jumps, and jaw-dropping aerobatic routines from elite performers. The main event takes place Saturday, September 6, with a full practice show the day before. Viewers can catch all the action from the beach and boardwalk, with the prime viewing zone located between Morey’s Mariner’s Pier and Adventure Pier.

Adding to the excitement are propeller-driven aerobatics from performers like Scott Francis, Kevin Russo, and Patrick McAlee, as well as the Full Throttle Formation Team and the Jersey Jerks SNJ formation.

The U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team will make two dramatic mass jumps, including a flag jump during the National Anthem and a mid-show exit display. The U.S. Coast Guard will also demonstrate a live MH-65E search and rescue operation over the water.
