Subway groper on the run after teen assaulted at 7 Avenue station
Brooklyn, NY – A manhunt is underway for a suspect accused of grabbing a 19-year-old woman’s buttocks as she walked up a subway staircase in Park Slope Friday evening, before fleeing the scene without a trace.
The NYPD released surveillance images in hopes of identifying the man, who they say attacked the teen around 6:40 p.m. inside the 7 Avenue subway station, located within the boundaries of the 78th Precinct and Transit District 32. According to investigators, the young woman was climbing the stairs when a man came up from behind and forcibly touched her before bolting back into the station toward an unknown direction.

The victim did not suffer any physical injuries, and there were no further interactions between her and the suspect after the initial incident. Police say the man vanished into the subway system and has not been seen since.
Authorities described the suspect as a male with a light complexion, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 190 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a light green t-shirt and carrying a gray bag strapped across his torso.
The NYPD is urging anyone who recognizes the man to come forward. Surveillance footage has been circulated publicly in an effort to generate leads.
