63-year-old man wounded in overnight shooting on North Caroline Street in Central Baltimore
BALTIMORE, MD — A 63-year-old man walked into a local hospital early Sunday morning with a gunshot wound, triggering a Central District shooting investigation tied to overnight gunfire reported on North Caroline Street.
Patrol officers responded to the hospital around 2:20 a.m. after being notified of the walk-in victim. Medical staff confirmed the man had suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Detectives determined the shooting occurred roughly 30 minutes earlier, around 1:51 a.m., in the 800 block of North Caroline Street, where gunfire had been reported by residents. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident have not been released.
