Freehold Township, NJ – Costumes, canines, and community fun will collide at this year’s Howl-O-Ween Bark Bash, set to take place Saturday, October 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the scenic Calgo Gardens.
Hosted by Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, the free-to-attend outdoor event invites families—and their leashed, costumed pets—for a full day of Halloween-themed festivities, including food trucks, live music, kids’ crafts, local vendors, and a packed gift auction. While admission is free, fees apply for some vendors and activities.

At the center of the event will be dozens of adorable adoptable animals looking for forever homes, along with the ever-popular pet costume contest that encourages attendees to bring their four-legged friends dressed for the occasion. Professional pet portraits will also be available on-site to capture every pup’s best spooky pose.
This fall-themed event aims to raise awareness for local animal adoption and support the ongoing rescue efforts of the Associated Humane Societies and Popcorn Park Animal Refuge.
