SOUTHEAST, NY — A Bronx woman and a Reading, Pennsylvania man were arrested Friday on felony drug and weapons charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 684 linked them to a fraud investigation out of Port Jervis.
Victoria L. Negron, 30, and Jonathan Ramirez, 42, were stopped by a New York State Trooper from the Somers barracks shortly after a BOLO — Be On the Lookout — alert was issued by the Westchester Real Time Crime Center. The vehicle, tied to a fraud case, was spotted committing traffic violations before being pulled over with assistance from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

During a consent search of the vehicle, officers discovered approximately 21.4 grams of MDMA, 3.2 grams of cocaine, and three firearms, including loaded handguns.
Ramirez, the passenger, was charged with two Class B felonies for possession of controlled substances with intent to sell, including MDMA, as well as a Class D felony for cocaine possession.
Negron, the driver, was hit with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon for having loaded firearms, along with additional weapons charges and traffic violations.
Both were arraigned in Town of Carmel Court and ordered held in the Putnam County Jail.
The stop was a coordinated effort between multiple law enforcement agencies and underscores the role real-time crime centers are playing in tracking suspects across jurisdictions.
