Cambridge Police crack down on traffic violations in citywide enforcement blitz

CAMBRIDGE, MD – The Cambridge Police Department conducted a citywide traffic enforcement initiative on August 25, targeting unsafe driving and parking behaviors in response to community complaints and concerns from city leaders.

The initiative resulted in 55 traffic stops involving vehicles, bicycles, and scooters, and led to 75 combined citations and warnings for various traffic violations. Officers aimed to promote education and deterrence as part of a broader strategy to improve public safety and quality of life across Cambridge.

During the operation, one individual was arrested for felony possession of controlled dangerous substances, and another was issued a civil citation for underage cannabis possession.
