New Yorkers pocket $200K total in Powerball third prizes

ALBANY, NY — Four lottery players across New York each won $50,000 in Monday night’s Powerball drawing, with winning tickets sold in Queens, the Capital Region, the Southern Tier, and Long Island, according to the New York Lottery.

The tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • ME-ME-Supermarket, 21-15 Broadway, Astoria
  • Stewart’s Shops, 977 State Route 149, Lake George
  • Price Chopper, 42 W Main Street, Owego
  • BP, 200 S Oyster Bay Road, Syosset

Each ticket matched four numbers plus the Powerball to claim the third-tier prize.

The Powerball drawing, held three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., pulls numbers from a field of 1 through 69, plus the red Powerball from a separate field of 1 through 26.

Prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date. Winners are not publicly identified until they come forward and their tickets are validated.
