Neighbor arrested after screaming tirade over kids riding bikes in Stafford neighborhood

STAFFORD, VA – A neighborhood dispute over children riding bikes turned into an arrest Wednesday night when a woman launched into a profanity-laced tirade that drew a crowd and led deputies to charge her with disorderly conduct.

The incident happened around 8:07 p.m. on Basalt Drive. Deputy I.E. Baldi responded to reports of a disturbance and arrived to find several neighbors gathered outside. Among them was one woman who, according to deputies, was actively yelling curse words.

Investigators learned the suspect became upset that children were riding bicycles nearby and began shouting at their parents. The heated confrontation spilled onto the victims’ property, where other neighbors recorded the altercation on their phones.

The suspect was arrested on the scene and charged with disorderly conduct. She was later released by a magistrate on personal recognizance.

No injuries were reported.
