Vineland murder suspect captured in Pennsylvania after multi-state manhunt
Vineland, NJ – A 26-year-old man wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of his father inside their Vineland home has been captured in Pennsylvania, authorities confirmed Wednesday.
Shawn A. Moir, who had been on the run since the August 26 killing of 59-year-old Albert Moir on Diamond Drive, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service. He was considered armed and dangerous after fleeing the scene in a black 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe with New Jersey license plate NJFF2623.
Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae announced earlier that Moir faced charges including purposeful murder, knowing murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

The arrest follows a coordinated effort between Vineland Police, the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, and federal law enforcement. Officials have not yet released details on where in Pennsylvania Moir was located or whether the vehicle was recovered.
Moir will face extradition proceedings before being returned to New Jersey to answer to the charges.
