Evesham police investigating rash of overnight car burglary attempts

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ – Police are asking for the public’s help after four suspects in a stolen car attempted multiple overnight vehicle burglaries in two neighborhoods, authorities said.

Around 2:30 a.m. Friday, officers responded to reports of suspicious activity in the Willow Ridge and Dominions neighborhoods. Residents reported individuals pulling on car door handles in an apparent search for unlocked vehicles.

Video surveillance confirmed that four suspects in a dark-colored sedan, later determined to be stolen out of Camden County, were responsible. Officers spotted the car leaving Willow Ridge at high speed onto Marlton Parkway toward Route 73. When police attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled.

Investigators believe the stolen car was used to commit crimes in Evesham. The Detective Bureau is working with local authorities to identify the suspects.
